One of the perks of being real estate agents is that we have the freedom to make our own schedule. When we’re not busy making deals or working for you scheduling viewing appointments or finding the perfect property for you, we love to travel! Generally I (Kim) go somewhere every month or every other month for the hell of it, and often will travel around the touring schedules of my favorite bands — Soundgarden (more so when Chris Cornell was still alive), Foo Fighters, and my all-time favorite, Pearl Jam.
We’re both foodies and really enjoy trying out new restaurants. We know all of the best rated restaurants in the Seattle area (as well as up or down the West Coast), so we encourage you to ask us about any restaurant you might have questions about. We’re also accustomed to eating vegetarian, so we can make suggestions that suit any diet.
Recently, for Kim’s birthday, we both decided to go to Vegas for five days! December before the holidays gets really cheap in Las Vegas, and it’s a wonderful and cost-effective time to go. We also mentioned that we were celebrating a birthday to take advantage of a few little upgrades.
The highlight of this trip was a helicopter ride over the Hoover Dam and the Grand Canyon. We were able to see the Grand Canyon in all of it’s majesty, land, take the tour on the ground, and fly back going along the Vegas strip. It was really neat to see everything from a birds’ eye view, and something we’ve both wanted to do for a really really long time.
The highlight of our restaurant touring was Joël Robuchon at the MGM Grand. He’s the most decorated chef of the century with 28 Michelin stars! This particular restaurant has three Michelin stars, and is also a winner of the Forbes Five Star, AAA Five Diamond, and Wine Spectator’s Grand Award.
